A week-long celebration of Hispanic Heritage

Today we show our spirit by wearing the colors representing Colombia. And all this week The Varnett Public School celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month and we will represent a different country each day. The celebration does not stop at the staff and students attire; it is reflected in our lunch menu. Students will feast on traditional Hispanic food and will listen to the music from each country represented.

The week will culminate on Thursday with an afternoon of food and dancing. Dancers from Colombia will entertain us with traditional Latin dances. Come celebrate with us on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm., as we honor the rich traditions of the Spanish culture.
