5th grader knows women with breast cancer, shows support

By Tylan Zachery

I choose to wear pink for breast cancer today because I know plenty of women who have breast cancer. Many of my mom's friends have breast cancer and almost didn't make it. So today I want to celebrate all the people who have or had breast cancer who made it through. Also, I want to show support for the women who lost the battle against breast cancer.

I play football, so when we have our games on the weekend, I wear pink to show support as well. I wear pink socks, gloves, wrist bands, head bands and a pink breast cancer sticker. I wish that everyone would be aware of breast cancer and pray that all the women will win the battle. My mom and I will always support awareness of breast cancer 100%. Let everyone support Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink in October!
