STAAR Wars - May the scores be with you.
That was one of several slogans staff and students chanted Friday to pump up third through fifth grade students for the upcoming STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) tests.
Students from all grade levels participated in a spirited pep rally just outside the Southwest Campus building before they moved the rally into the cafeteria. Teachers wore t-shirts bearing variations of the STAAR Wars theme.
A schedule of the testing schedule is listed below:
April 20, Monday, 5th grade, Math
April 21, Tuesday, 3rd and 4th grades, Math
April 22, Wednesday, 3rd and 4th grades, Reading
April 22, Wednesday, 5th grade, Science
May 12, Tuesday, 5th grade, Reading (Round 2)
June 23, Tuesday, 5th grade, Reading (Round 3)
