Students enjoy Grandparents' Day

Grandparents and grandchildren shared breakfast at the Southwest Campus to celebrate a special family bond.

The Sept. 10, 2010, get-together was short but long enough for family members to eat, converse, hug each other and pose for pictures.

"I'm having a nice time with my granddaughter," said Karen Hargrove as granddaughter Bryanna Morris, 8, stood by her side. "I even ate all my strawberries."

She said this was her second visit since Bryanna has been at Varnett.

Others seemed to have a great time as well.

"This was a great event and it was held in the spirit of communication," said Southwest Campus director Dora Morrow. "Everybody had a great time."
