Students celebrate Black History Month

Kindergarten students took an imaginary trip to Africa and donned African attire in doing their part to commemorate Black History Month.

The Southwest campus walls were decorated with images showcasing African-America history and culture, and students engaged in special projects in the classroom. Teachers played a major role in the decorations and art work.

The celebration will be capped with various activities -- from entertainers to the students themselves -- at the Southwest Campus Feb. 21-25. Parents and guests are invited to attend.
