Beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, each Varnett campus will provide free curbside breakfast and lunch. Vehicles will drive up to designated pickup points to collect the food. Breakfast will be distributed from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and lunch will be distributed from noon to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Regulations require that a child must be in the vehicle in order to receive a meal. Those also eligible are children ages 18 years and younger and persons over 18 years of age who are determined by the State or local educational agency as having a mental or physical disability and who participate during the school year in a public or private non-profit school program established for the mentally or physically disabled.
Varnett will be closed at least through April 10, 2020 because of the coronavirus.
