A little bit of time and labor can make a big difference in our communities.
More than 80 Southwest Campus students proved that Wednesday by scooping up lots of litter at a nearby field . Donning gloves and displaying enthusiasm, the students turned their community service project into fun and goodwill as they picked up trash and tossed them in bags.
Gone is the eyesore -- for a few days, at least. Their work showcased teamwork and respect for the environment as they changed the complexion of the entire area.
Students throughout the year perform community service projects as a way to give back to the community. Congratulations to all for a job well done.
