Campus director joins granddaughter for Grandparents Day breakfast at Southwest

I enjoyed visiting my granddaughter Madyson's 3rd grade class on Friday, Sept. 18, during a celebration of Grandparents Day (September 13, 2015).  As a visiting grandparent I was invited to join in with the Southwest Campus' morning "Drumline" routine designed to have students greet each other with encouragement. We all jumped up and down as an energy releaser.

The teacher, Ms. Blackwell,  expected and received  100% participation in all directives given that morning. I was impressed and pleased to know this positive behavior is expected and seen in her class.

I shared a healthy breakfast with my granddaughter and she gave me a booklet that expressed her feelings for me. My grandparent experience at the Southwest Campus was truly appreciated  and helped strengthened extended family relationships.
