Honors for excelling students

On Monday and Tuesday of this week, Southwest campus recognized more than  200 students for A/B Honor Roll.

In an awards ceremony attended by 96 parents and family members, students received certificates and small tokens of appreciation such as book marks, pencils or Honor Roll dog tags. Recognizing student achievement and success encourages students  and makes them feel pride in their work.

It also reminds everyone involved of the bottom‐line: namely, student learning and achievement. We are proud of the hard work our students have put forth and encourage all students to strive to attain Honor Roll in the next 6 weeks grading cycle, which ends on November.

On Monday, nearly 60 parents were in attendance Monday morning for honor roll presentations before a packed house at the Southwest Campus cafeteria.

Straight A honor roll students were given a Dr. Seuss pencil and a certificate and A/B students were presented a certificate and a book mark. All the students were K-2 on Monday.
