Parents, students bring enthusiasm for Literacy Night

Being literate means being able to read and to write fluently, and being literate is a number one goal for all students at The Varnett Public School.

Accordingly, Varnett's Southwest campus held its annual Literacy Night last Thursday, October 27. Fifty students, 45 parents, and a host of siblings attended. Attendees participated in fun, engaging activities based on literacy such as word bingo and word scrambles. Students had fun challenging each other and their parents to show their literacy skills.

Thanks to all who participated. We look forward to seeing you at our Science Night in January!
