Director's Message

Stakeholders, 

It is with much joy that I serve as the Campus Director of the Varnett Southwest campus.

 

I’ve had the opportunity to lead this learning institution for six consecutive years. This academic year has the chance to be one of the most amazing years in the history of Varnett. We are excited about offering our students a curriculum that is rigorous, robust, innovative, balanced and equitable to all demographics. Furthermore, we look forward to offering our scholars the opportunity to engage in field lessons that will broaden their exposure and introduce them to various learning opportunities. 

 

The Southwest campus has earned a “B” rating by the Texas Education Agency for the performance of our scholars on the 2022 STAAR assessment. Our students, teachers and staff members worked extremely hard to ensure that our scholars were mastering the standards required by the state. We look forward to maintaining that level of excellence during the 2022-23 academic campaign. 

 

As we navigate the 2022-23 school year, we are committed to the safety and well-being of every student and stakeholder. Varnett has placed an extreme emphasis on ensuring that each Varnett facility is in compliance with state regulations regarding student safety. We have made this commitment on behalf of the students, parents, staff, and community members.
