Celebrating a Legacy of Service: Shawna Clouser Retires After More Than 28 Years in Education

The Varnett Public School proudly celebrates Ms. Shawna Clouser, Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, as she begins an exciting new chapter...retirement!

Ms. Clouser has dedicated more than 28 years to education, building a career centered on service, leadership, and a commitment to helping educators and students succeed. For the past three years, she has shared her experience and talents with the Varnett School community.

During her time at Varnett, Ms. Clouser played an important role in strengthening teaching and learning, supporting educators, and encouraging instructional excellence throughout the district. Her leadership, knowledge, and dedication have positively influenced colleagues, teachers, students, and families. She played a huge role in the work with in creating the district's strategic plan for success for the next five years, and is credited with grant writing expertise in gaining funding for academic support for the district through the state initiatives over the past three years.

Beyond her professional contributions, Ms. Clouser will be remembered for her compassion, encouragement, and belief in the power of education to transform lives. Her service has helped strengthen Varnett’s continued commitment to providing students with meaningful opportunities to learn and grow.

As Ms. Clouser begins this well-earned next chapter, the entire Varnett family extends its heartfelt appreciation for her service and lasting contributions.
